Our Staff Bethany Liles, Director of Kids R Kids Westridge, has been a licensed Director in the State of Texas since 2003. Before that time, she was a teacher in a preschool setting, as well as a paraprofessional in a local elementary school working with special needs children. She has a true passion for educating young children while making sure that all of her team is educating children in the best way possible. Building relationships in the school is her key to success, she is always available to meet with potential families or existing families to make their experience at Kids R Kids Westridge is at their level of expectation.
Lisa Huffer, Assistant Director of Kids R Kids Westridge was also a teacher before becoming an administrator. She home schooled her children before joining a licensed center, then joined Kids R Kids as the Private Kindergarten teacher. She truly believes in the "Hug first, then teach" philosophy of Kids R Kids and the effect that it can have on young children.
Wesley Howard, Curriculum Coordinator, also joined the Kids R Kids team as an educator in our Pre Kindergarten program. He works hard each day to guide and motivate our teaching team to apply the Kids R Kids curriculum, as well as meeting the guidelines and requirements of preparing our Pre Kindergarten students to move on to public school. You can always find Mr. Wesley in a room playing and singing with the children to make their school experience a good one!
All Kids ‘R’ Kids faculty and personnel are required to follow state regulations that apply to training, as well as exceeding that level with the requirements of Kids R Kids. Our staff is trained in First Aid/CPR, Infectious Disease Control, Injury Prevention, and Child Abuse Awareness. Additional training in curriculum, child development, classroom arrangement, classroom management, age-appropriate activities, nutrition, field trip planning and OSHA regulations provide the staff with skills needed to create a quality learning environment. The staff are encouraged to further their education through CDA and CCP programs and are given opportunities to attend professional training conferences. Many of our teachers hold Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education, or are in the process of completing their degree requirements.
